チェンマイ滞在は、６年ぶり、たしか４回目。
バンコクと違って、メータータクシーが数少なく、
路線バスもほとんど走っていないチェンマイでは、
移動手段が非常に悩ましい問題でした。
主な移動手段であるトゥクトゥク（３輪自動車）は、
外国人と見るや、すぐ近くでも１００バーツ（約３３０円）。
バンコクのメータータクシーが初乗り３５バーツ（約１２０円）なのに対して
エアコンもないし、乗り心地もよくないし、それでいてえらく割高。
庶民の足、ソンテウ（乗り合いタクシー）は、これまたタイ語がしゃべれないと、
行き先を説明したりするのも困難、やっと乗れたかと思えば、
ほかのお客さんの関係ですごく遠回りになったり・・・。
そんな中、昨年末にUBER（配車アプリ）のサービスがチェンマイでも使えるようになったということで、
恐る恐る使ってみました。
This time was 4th staying Chiang Mai, after 6 years absence for me.
The transportation in Chiang Mai is very poor for foreigners, few numbers of meter taxi or bus networks, TUK-TUK (3weels car) is very expensive for foreigners (they always said more than 100B, it seemed to be very expensive comparing with the meter taxis in Bangkok (starts 35B) in additions, without air conditioning and bad seats.)
The Songthaew (Shared minibus) is low costs, but it's difficult to communicate with the driver about the destination without in Thai language and sometimes we have to lose our time because of other customer's destination is not on the way to our destination.
But the UBER service has started in Chiang Mai last year.
I tried to use this new means!


アプリの画面から、自分の行きたい場所を入力すると、
GPS機能で現在地に一番近いドライバーを自動的に検索。
現在地を再度確認して依頼すると、上のような画面に。
到着予定時刻とドライバーの車の現在地、ナンバーが知らされるので、
（チェンマイでは下三桁でしたが、バンコクではもっと表示されてました）
画面を見ながら、ホテルの前で待つこと２分、
あ、見つけました！
After entering my destination, the UBER app searched the nearest driver from my place by GPS automatically,
I confirmed my present place again and entered my information, I got above the screen on my smart phone.
I could get the information about the driver's position and the number, I was waiting in front of my hotel, after 2 minutes I found my driver!


で乗車すると、目的地までのナビがドライバーのアプリ画面に出ており、
自分のアプリにも出てくるので、これまた便利。
After I got the car, I and the driver shared the way to my destination on a smartphone.
It's very useful!


ドライバー、ちゃんと渋滞をよけて、早い道を選んでくれました。
このアプリ、お支払いも登録したクレジットカードからの引き落としなので、
現金で支払う必要もなし。
数分後にメールで利用明細が送られてきます。
４０バーツ（１３０円くらい）、すごくお得です！
しかも、最初の写真にあるように、キャンペーンをやっていたりするので、
その時ならもっとお得ですね。
The driver avoided the traffic jams.
We don't have to pay for the drivers by cash, we pay by credit card registered in advance.
After we took off the car, we can get the receipt email.
Oh only around 40B! It's very low costs!

便利なUBER、注意点を挙げるとしたら、
運転手はタクシードライバーではなく、
素人のドライバーで事故時の補償などは（たぶん）ないということ。
今回乗ったドライバーはとても感じのよい、安全運転の人が多かったので、
特に気にはなりませんでしたが・・・。
あと、ピックアップの場所がわからないときにドライバーとやり取りすることもあったり、
GPS機能が必要になることが多いので、
SIMフリーのスマホにタイの携帯会社のSIMを入れておいた方がベターです。
